About THE FAMILY OF WARREN A NOBLICK(NABELEK)
Research of Noblick (Nabelek)Czech (Nabilek) phonetic Hungarian The surname Nabelek
pronounced Nab like stab-bill-lek is Slavic of Czech origin. In Czech it means light
skin or blond hair . The Nabelek line
was researched by Warren A Noblick.Research of Weber family line by Edith Ann
McCollum(Weber)maternal aunt of Warren A Noblick and Ronald Cornell maternal
2nd
cousin son of Edward John Cornell son of Edith Opal Leiss(Weber)Maternal great
aunt of Warren A Noblick. This site is still being updated with more
information and dates If you have any new information or corrections feel free
to contact me.Genealogy has always fascinated me. For the last 40 years I have
tried to sort through the stories that my family has passed down. At times
some of these stories have led me on a wild goose chase, The rumor that Josef
and Maria Frances Jones and Anna were born in Austria are not true. They all
were born at Mosonmagyarovar Hungary which is in Gyor Sopron county in the far
Northwest. In 930 AD this region was ruled by the Great kingdom of Moravia which is
now in the Czech republic. Our family surname has change many times since then and
has been influenced by the government that have ruled the area where my family has
lived in. First Nabelek which means blond or light hair in Czech. Then it was
phonetically changed during the Hapsburg era to Nabilek. and after the emigration to
the United States in 1903 the name was changed again phonetically to Noblick to
Anglicize it.On the ship manifest it states (Weiselburg). During the era of the
AustroHungarian Empire the name of Mosonagyaravor was Weiselburg in German but
the family never did live in Austria. The treaty of Trianon in 1919 gave half
of Hungary away and some of the western counties became Burgenland
I still have a lot to learn and document
on this site, but I have included documentation here to prove that the
information here is correct. My goal was to debunk many of the rumors, members
of my family still believe to this day.And through research I have found many
other branches of this family tree that we here in Ohio never knew about. Most
of us believed that our family is located only in the Newark Ohio area. Some of
the families reside in Ohio.Pennsylvania,New
Jersey,Connecticut,Massachusetts,Virginia,Montana,California, Washington,North
Carolina,Hawaii,Florida,Illinois,Kentucky,Missouri,Rhode Island, and Minnesota
